Tourism & the hotel industry

FORMS / PLANNING / EMPLOYABILITY /
MAINTAINING A SUSTAINABLE WORKFORCE /
CAREER LONGEVITY / THE ECONOMIC CRISIS

Tourism is defined as traveling for pleasure outside one's usual home areas and residing there temporarily. It is also an economic sector that includes, in addition to the hotel industry, all activities related to tourist satisfaction and travel.

The hotel industry, also known as the hospitality industry, is a tertiary sector activity that includes all establishments that offer a reception service—room and/or board—to guests, whether transient or local, for a fixed period of time, in exchange for a fee.

This workshop consists of several modules focusing, among other things, on the tourism and hotel economic sector, the forms of tourism, the associated facilities, wages, and strategies for maintaining a sustainable workforce.
